TOM AND AMANDA’S WEDDING, RUSTIC ELEGANCE, DIORAMA’S, DINOSAUR’S, AND TOUCHES OF TAXIDERMY AT THE NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM OF LOS ANGELES

Wow! Where do we start?  There  is so much to this wedding that we want you all to see.  We were so lucky to have coordinated their day and styled their dessert table. We thought we would post the dessert table first! Tom and Amanda are funky and hip with an underlying elegance  and they wanted the decor of their day to project the two of them.  The Natural History Museum was the perfect venue for their style choices and stunning ombre colors from navy to periwinkle.Lauren from Lauren Avila Photography captured the beauty of the day! Deborah from Romance Etc did the amazing floral design and added the finishing touches to the wedding cakes. My backdrop was already in play, how fun is the Gorilla  Diorama! We used our Confection Collections rustic elegance dessert stands, risers and plates lined with birch for the delicious desserts from Tender Greens, worked in wood tree stumps to showcase the wonderful ombre cakes from Vanilla Bake Shop. We covered the dessert labels in moss and insects and used the same font’s from their wedding invitations, added in some birds, butterflies and the taxidermy owls (love this), and a linen table drape from La Tavola Linens. Is that the best cake topper you have ever seen?

Two’s A Party Signature Buffet

Allow us to introduce you to part two of the promised three-part photo-shoot.

Here’s our signature buffet, which was inspired by our logo design. We love the brown, blue, pink and orange color pallet from our logo so much that we decided it would make a wonderful confection buffet. The flowers bring sweet life into this buffet, and the branching steams drag your attention to all the goodies displayed. We had everything from cupcakes from Frosted Cupcakery to french macaron and pink sprinkled cookies from Katella Bakery. Fortunately we found these lovely flowers and delicious truffles at the wonderful Romance Etc. boutique.

This classy buffet would be a fun addition to any party!

An Asian and Zen-ful Wedding Dessert Bar

We’re back! Hope you didn’t miss us too much. To celebrate our revamped blog, we created a three-part photo-shoot for you all to enjoy! Here’s the first zen-ful creation. We styled this perfectly for an elegant asian inspired wedding. The two vases were what inspired this sophisticated and serene confection buffet.  Deborah from Romance Etc. came through again with her breathtakingly elegant floral design.

We found these yummy Green Tea and Mini Cupcakes at Sweet Embellishments Dessert Bar. We loved how perfect the wedding cookies fit into the zen theme. Finally, we grabbed these cookies and French Macarons from Katella Bakery & Deli in Los Alamitos, CA.

Keep and eye out for parts two and three of our latest photo-shoot! We’re also very excited to be announcing our Confection Collection! Here’s where you D.I.Y. party people can rent candy buffet and dessert bar set-ups to style yourself!
