We are so excited to post this wonderful boyhood shoot we styled with you! The planes, trains and automobiles theme took off in a fun direction. With the right mix of industrial and a few vintage pieces worked in, from the amazing FormDecor, we arrived at our party destination!
Chanda from Paper Crew designed the wonderful invitations and labels for all of the candy and desserts! We thought this look would work for a Baby Shower, the red wingback chair would make a great mother-to-be chair, a Birthday Party or even a Bar Mitzvah! The ever so talented Lauren Avila from Lauren Avila Photography furnished us with these gorgeous photos and the delicious desserts we selected for our transportation theme were from Sweet and Saucy Shop!
We were so thrilled to have the opportunity to do a photo shoot at FormDecor! They welcomed us with open arms and were so gracious! We wanted to showcase their fabulous rental furnishings, mixed with our styled candy and dessert set up. What an amazing combination it turned out to be. We fell in love with this dresser during a walk through and knew we had to use it for our metallic set up. We styled the shoot to focus on how a set up in your own home, on a smaller scale, can be stunning with some rental pieces to create some added drama. The design could easily transition into a larger holiday bash at your favorite venue! It was so hard to pick from all the amazing furniture and accessories that FromDecor has to offer but we thought these antique gold side tables worked perfect for our set up. FormDecor is the perfect place for Mid Century Modern Furniture Rentals any event, small or large. It was a wonderful day! Thank You to all the vendors for their hard work and participation! Photography by Lauren Avila Photography, stunning custom paper products by Paper Crew, backdrop and linens by Glow Concepts – Fine Linens, floral design by Romance Etc., desserts by Sweet and Saucy and yours truly.

We are so happy to share these photo’s with you of this baby shower for our special friend Jamie Sanchez! We are so excited, she is having a baby boy and we can’t wait to babysit baby Joshua. The mother-to-be had decorated the nursery so darling, that her sister Melissa and I decided to carry the chevron theme, orange, grey, aqua and chartreuse colors over to the baby shower. She requested a brunchy kind of lunch with mimosa’s, tea sandwiches and a candy and dessert buffet. We went with the Wine Down Lounge at The Sky Room in Long Beach. Lauren from Lauren Avila Photography came through with amazing shots as usual. We provided the backdrop and the decor for the venues desserts. Melissa and I worked on banners and centerpieces. The invitations where a perfect match to the chalkboard signs they use to list their wines. They have their own vineyard and their wines are amazing! We had a great day and can’t wait for Joshua’s arrival!
This Love, Watercolor at the Beach, Engagement shoot was inspired by Pantone Colors, Poppy Red 17-1664 and Linen 12-1008. When we paired the colors together the Linen made us think of sand and the location was born from the ecclectic venue at Hotel Maya in Long Beach. We mixed in wood tones that work perfect with the Red Poppy and Linen. Our “love at the beach” theme took off. The morning of the shoot the sun gods worshipped us and made the amazing photoʼs by Lauren Avila Photography just stunning! Her shots on the sand with the Long Beach shoreline in the background are magical and the sun washing over our dessert set up, with desserts provided by Simply Layered, is stunning. Romance Etc. provided just we had invisioned for the floral decor, the airplants and pops of flowers in the natural manzinita branches are perfect! Our couple, “Yes, they really are a couple.” are adorable together. Her ombre dress is a piece of art on itʼs own, looks like it was made for her and was perfect for our color palette. Her hair by Jamie from Thairapy Salon and make-up by Jolieke, Poppy Red lipstick and beautiful smile, flawless! The whole day was amazing, all of the vendors that participated really stepped up! Thank You Hotel Maya for the venue and all the the vendors that make what we love to do so much easier! This shoot made me realize why I love living in the L.B.C.

We get so excited to be part of the holiday festivities at Caught In The Moment Photography. Salvador and Lana Farfan and their children are always such a pleasure to spend time with along with their friends and clients. The party is set up in their photo studio so we always have a built in backdrop to use as our inspiration. This year we went with plum, periwinkle and gold as our color palette. We used our Confection Collections, incorporated Lemon Meringue Tarts and Chocolate Ganache Peppermint Tarts from Simply Layered. Mini Vanilla Cupcakes from Sweet Embellishments, beautiful linens from Glow Concepts along with some Cocoa Truffles, Candy Cane Cookies, Huckleberry Taffy and we let the fun begin. The beautiful photos of course from Caught In The Moment Photography.
One of our new friends, Lauren Avila of Lauren Avila Photography mentioned she was throwing a baby shower for her best friend, who is having a girl. We jumped at the chance to offer to help! She had picked the purple colors, made candy bar wrappers, a pennant, some pom pom’s and the shower was to be held at the beautiful home of her in-laws. We took our direction from the pieces she had and styled the dessert and candy tables, brought in Deborah Fay from Romance Etc to work her magic on the centerpieces and had a blast working with Lauren, her friends and family. We brought in grape gummy bears, blueberry jelly beans and huckleberry taffy. Simply Layered created the blueberry parfaits and champagne panna cotta. German chocolate cake, carrot cake cupcakes, red velvet cupcakes and lemon pie from Bake and Broil. We loved making the small cake pennant for the cake and had fun with the different patterns and rustic elegant theme! Photography by Lauren Avila Photography and Linens from Glow Concepts.
Halloween is my favorite holiday, but my schedule had been so crazy that I barely had time put to a few decorations up. So I convinced my family and friends to join me for a small dinner party. I pulled out all my props and with some assistance from Deborah at Romance Etc. styled the dinner party, put out some food (not to fancy) and some great desserts. The amazingly talented Lauren from Lauren Avila Photography came by and photographed my fun tented outdoor room. We dined, enjoyed a cocktail and relaxed for a spell. We then indulged in desserts: Boo Cupcakes, Cannoli, Pecan Tarts, Hazelnut Transfers and Witches Boot Cookies from Rossmoor Pastries, I think my son ate all the Cannoli. Carrot Pumpkin Spice CakeBalls from CakePops&Co were delicious.Linens from my friends at Glow Concepts and labels from Vectoria Designs. I so wanted to leave the set up forever! We had a wonderful time and I got to enjoy my favorite holiday, while I turned work into some playtime! Happy Belated Halloween!
